The Lighthouse Academy is an independent school registered with the Department of Education (EMIS: 995501401). We are also an Umalusi accredited primary school. While we use the CAPS Curriculum to teach from, we maintain a standard higher than that of other schools around us.
We have a staff of well-educated, qualified teachers who go above and beyond what is expected of them when it comes to the education of our children. We teach English as a home language and offer Sepedi (Gr 1 - Gr 7) and Xitsonga (Gr 1 - Gr 4) as first additional languages.
Every child who comes to the LHA is treated as an individual and is made to feel safe, secure and loved at our institution. We believe that every child who comes into our care leaves as a holistic, well-developed and transformed person having had a well-rounded and superior primary school education.
