We are an English Home Language school and thus are preparing to explore entering Debate competitions. We feel that Debate is a great platform for those children with great oratory skills to learn how to succeed and get their viewpoint across to others.
Our Senior Choir is already known for their beautiful singing. Singing together with being blessed with natural rhythm captivates audiences. We enter competitions, do "flash mobs" and offer quality entertainment at school and Tshega functions. We believe that all who hear our talented children sing are mesmerized and overcome with joy and elation.
Most children have a natural talent for acting. Once again, not a field for everyone but those who are “naturals”. We give guidance on acting out various roles and teach how to get the audience enraptured and enchanted.
We run an internal Remediation Programme for both Foundation and Intersen Phases. Each child is dealt with individually and thus we try our level best to assist them in any way possible. Volunteers play a major role in assisting us.
In Junior Art Club the children are exposed to various art mediums and are encouraged to explore their imagination through art. The Senior Art Club is hoping to be more "formally" informal where various textures, lines etc are introduced, taught and practically tried. Once again challenging their imaginations to produce their work.
Chess has become extremely popular amongst schools. We compete against other schools who come and play sport against us. Once again, catering for the “not so sporty” child.
This is geared mainly for the Grade R and Grade 1 children who are perhaps a bit behind with their Gross Motor & Ball skills development. These children are encouraged to learn while at the same time having loads of fun.
Hand Sewing is a great Fine Muscle skill to learn. The children are taught the basics and are encouraged to use their imagination through theart of sewing. We have had many boys who love sewing.
Being situated in a rural village, our children are not exposed to much Afrikaans. They get taught in English as a Home Language but we offer Sepedi & Xitsonga as First Additional Languages. Due to our parents wanting their child to attend various high schools in Tzaneen, Afrikaans has proven to be extremely beneficial to have as a steppingstone to being accepted at our high schools in Tzaneen.
