Understanding the Discipline System
The discipline system works on a point system. All children are divided into houses where points are rewarded or deducted weekly.
The learner gets a verbal warning if he/she breaks one of the school rules.
If the bad behaviour continues, a white slip will be issued with a consequence given and 3 points will be deducted.
If the behaviour continues, a yellow slip will issued and 5 points will be deducted.
If this behaviour continues, an orange slip will then be issued and the parents will be called. 10 points will be deducted. A possible suspension may be issued.
The final step of bad/unacceptable behaviour is a red slip and 15 points will be deducted. The parent will be called to attend a disciplinary meeting. Suspension or expulsion is possible.
Any colour slip may be skipped according to the nature of the misconduct.
Learners will be suspended or expelled for a serious misconduct. Expulsion from school shall be the last resort for repeated offences; after all other avenues of discipline have failed.
